This privacy policy describes how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use our ShaderBot service ("Shader Discord Bot").

We collect the following data:

• Discord Data: Discord user ID, username, avatar (via Discord OAuth2)
• Usage Data: Created shaders, compilations performed, resolution and duration preferences
• Payment Data: For current or future paid features, billing information via Stripe (managed by Stripe, we do not store card numbers)
• Cookies: Session cookies for authentication, and preference cookies (light/dark theme)

2. Legal Basis and Purposes

We use your data for the following purposes, based on the indicated legal bases:

• Provide and improve our services — performance of the contract binding us to you
• Manage your account and any subscriptions — performance of the contract
• Process payments via Stripe — performance of the contract
• Contact you regarding your account — performance of the contract and legitimate interest
• Comply with our legal obligations — legal obligation
• Remember your preferences (theme, language) — consent, via preference cookies

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share your data with:

• Stripe: For payment processing (in accordance with their privacy policy)
• Discord: For OAuth2 authentication (in accordance with their privacy policy)

As these providers are established in the United States, data transfers outside the European Union are governed by appropriate safeguards (including standard contractual clauses), in accordance with the GDPR.

4. Cookies

Session cookies, strictly necessary for authentication, are placed automatically when using the service. Preference cookies (light/dark theme) are subject to your consent and can be managed or disabled at any time from your browser settings or your dashboard.

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of access: You can request a copy of your personal data
• Right to rectification: You can correct your inaccurate data
• Right to erasure: You can request the deletion of your data
• Right to portability: You can retrieve your data in a structured format
• Right to object: You can object to the processing of your data
• Right to restriction: You can request the restriction of processing of your data in certain cases
• Right to complain: You can lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) if you consider that the processing of your data does not comply with applicable regulations

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data as long as your account is active.

• For Free plan users, created shaders are automatically deleted after 7 days.
• Account data (Discord ID, username, avatar) is retained as long as the account exists, then deleted within a reasonable period after account deletion.
• Billing data is retained in accordance with legal retention periods required for accounting and tax purposes, even after account deletion.

You can delete your account and all your personal data at any time from your dashboard.

7. Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an update date.
